Well, my grandfather called Saturday and wanted everyone to come clean out his and my grandmother's shed. Thing is.... she died 5 years ago and that shed hasn't been touched since then. There was a ton of things that she had around the house when we were younger, things that she made. It was very heartwrenching to go through there. I guess it's over now. The last bit of my grandmother's untouched memories have been sorted and given away to the family. Now I just have to find places in my home for the items given to me. Not much, just a few shelves, some things that she cross stitched. But I think the hardest part will be seeing it hanging on my wall, walking by it day after day.

The thing I like about having "things" from loved ones who have left us, is that at times they can trigger the most pleasant of memories. Sometimes those memories are relevant to what is happening in my life in the present too. In other words, they can give me insiperation on dealing with my life today.

I never know what to say about these things either I don't have anything from any of my grandparents, but there are some things that do trigger special memories and I love that! I hope the pieces you now have do that for you.
